She was a member of Lyons Creek Baptist Church for 65 years and active in the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was owner and operator of Mary’s Beauty Shop in Strawberry Plains for 56 years. Preceded in death by husband Lonas Strevel; parents, Robert N. and Grace Caton Williams; stepmother, Pauline Love Williams; sisters and brothers in law, Esther and Cue Chance, Beulah and I.C Clift, Lois and Bob White, Eleanor and Bobby McTaggart , Lucy Williams; brother and sister in law, Vaughn and Jean Williams; brothers, Glenn Allen Williams and Wilburn Williams. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Carol Strevel; grandson Chris Strevel and wife Julie; granddaughter, Janet Strevel Hayes and husband Tracy; great grandchildren, Macy Hayes, Cooper Hayes, Molly Strevel and Mary Strevel; brother, Bobby Williams; devoted niece, Shirley Clift and devoted nephew, Roger Clift and wife Nancy; several other nieces and nephews; loving and devoted Hospice caregiver Rhonda Davis. Receiving of friends Tuesday January 25, 4:00 to 6:00 with funeral to follow at 6:00 at Bridges Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Giles and the Reverend Michael Driver officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 A.M. Wednesday at Trentville Cemetery Wednesday January 26, 2011 for the interment at11:00 A.M.
