Shipley, Patricia V., (Pat), age 71, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Pat was a very Christian woman, avid gardener, talented seamstress and was very devoted to her family and friends. She was an active founding volunteer for the Thompson Cancer Survival Center's Women's Wellness Retreat. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Shipley; mother, Goldine Tucker; sister, Betty McBee; and daughter-in-law, Pam Shipley. She is survived by her son, Gary Shipley; daughters, Debby Saraceni and husband, Rock; and Shelley Ward and husband, Joey; grandchildren: Stephanie Shipley and Zach Ward; brother-in-law, Charles McBee and family; her special pet and constant companion, Totie. Pat will be missed by all who knew her and especially her lunch bunch. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Random Acts of Flowers or Sisters In Love Fund c/o Thompson Cancer Survival Center, 1915 White Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916. Family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 8:00 PM, Charles Fels, Priest, officiating. Family and friends will meet at Chuckey United Methodist Church Cemetery in Chuckey, Tennessee on Sunday at 1:30 PM for interment services. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
