U.S. Veteran Estel Earl “Bill” Templin, age 89, of Newport, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at his home. He was a retired builder and farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Templin, brother James Templin, sister Magdeline Murrell, parents Garland and Jessie Templin. Survivors include his son Roger Templin, grandchildren Jonathon Templin and Billy Templin (Celestia), great-grandchildren Patience Templin, Kyle Templin, Konner Templin, sisters Pauline Murrell, Johnnie Wilson both of Newport, and Joyce Rollin of Chattanooga, along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Bell officiating. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Baxter-Templin Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the Templin family.
