David Nelson Gibson, Sr., 57, of Maryville, went to be with our Lord June 24, 2008, at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ayers; father, Dave Gibson; grandparents, Webster and Lucy Frye, Nelse and Tish Gibson, He is survived by his son, David Nelson Gibson Jr. of Sevierville; mother, Ethel Frye Huskey of Maryville; grandsons, Steven, and Davy Gibson; friend, Tiffany Bradley; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Diane Gibson; sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Wayne Parker, all of Maryville; special aunt, Georgie Frye Sluder; several other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday June 26, 2008, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Claude Ramsey officiating. Family and friends will meet at Laws Chapel Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2008, for a graveside service. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
