(February 18, 1935 - January 31, 2011) U.S. Veteran Leonard Eugene Bailey, age 76, of Parrottsville, passed away, January 31, 2011 at his home. He was a veteran having served in the U S Army during the Korean War. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Nancy Bailey; brothers, Jimmy Bailey and John M. Bailey; sister, Mildred Moorefield. He is survived by his wife, Alene Bailey of Parrottsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Dee Bailey of Parrottsville, Tip and Beverly Bailey of Dandridge; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Homer James of Newport; grandson, Corey Bailey of Newport; also several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, February 3, 2011 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Wayne Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
