DAVIS, JAMES JOSEPH - age 71, died Sunday, October 28, 2001, at his home in Kodak, Tenn. He was a member of Deep Springs Baptist Church in Dandridge, Tenn. Survivors: wife of 38 years, Barbara Carol Davis; sons, James Davis, Jr. of Kent, Ohio, and Brice Joseph Davis of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Mickey Hammon of Moreno Valley, Calif., Genevieve Davis of Kent, Ohio, Wilda and John Parker of Kodak, Tenn., Claris and Richard Welton of Beulaville, N.C., Sandra and Michael Maples of Knoxville, Tenn., and Paula and Wyatt Hamrick of Manassas, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Viola and Brad Bennett of Seffner, Fla.; grandchildren, Jennifer and Matt Higgins of Amite, La., Adria and Bruce Stoner of Lincoln, Calif., Jamie and Michael Zack of Menetua, Ohio, Shawn Powell (U.S. Army), Katherine Davis, Jessica, Tonya, and Ashley Maples, Tiffany and Carol Davis, Nikki and John Parker, Jr., Grace and Samantha Welton, and Blake Davis; great-grandchildren, Breanna, Nathan, and Emilee Higgins, Travis and Katelin Stoner, and Brandon Zack, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Underwood Cemetery.
