Ed Crowe, age 73, of Maryville, went to be with his Lord Thursday, April 26, 2012, after a long battle with leukemia. Ed loved Jesus, his family, raising quarter horses, and UT football. He graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 1964, and retired from Martin-Marietta in Oak Ridge after more than 28 years of employment. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Maryville. He was born April 23, 1939, and was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Herbert and Mable Fagg Crowe; sister, Mary Charlotte Crowe Maxey; and in-laws, Corbett and Kate Burchfield. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Rosemary Burchfield Crowe; children, Michael Edward Crowe and fiancé Lora Helton, Mitchell Wayne Crowe and wife Leslie, and Angela Crowe Wilson and husband Dana; grandchildren and spouses, Dave and Susanne, Charlene, Kayla, Julie, Bryan, Tony, and Geoffrey and Chelsea Crowe, and Katie and Ameilia Wilson; great-grandchildren, Kirstin and Layla Crowe; brother, Bill Crowe and wife Carol of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Beverly Crowe Johnston and husband Charles of Knoxville; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and long-time friends. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Hanna and the nurses and medical team off UT Hospital’s 12E floor. Their excellent medical care and loving support has been a blessing and will never be forgotten. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel with the interment to follow at Forest Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Rev. Ronnie Reagan officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, (800) 805-5856.
