Porterfield, Colt –age 22, of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was a graduate of Seymour High School Class of 2002. While at Seymour High School, he won the State in Wrestling and excelled in all athletic sports. He was pursuing a career in bounty hunting. He was a very loving and compassionate person and will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by grandfather, James Ownby and aunt, Rene´ Loveday.
Survivors
Survivors include mother and stepfather, Karen and Dana Archer; sister, Trina Archer; brothers, Josh and Ricky Archer; grandmother, Doris Ownby; aunts, Sherry Whitenbarger and husband, Dennis, Bobbie Jo Denton and husband, Frankie, Teresa Underwood; uncles, Tom Mills and Jim Ownby; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Josh and Martha Delozier.
Service
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with funeral service to follow at 8 PM, Rev. Donnie Ownby officiating. Family and friends will meet at Highland South Cemetery on Saturday for 1 PM interment services. Pallbearers will be Dustin Booth, Bobby Baker, Chris Wine, Josh Delozier, Matt Size and Harley Johnson.
