Pauline Huizenga, age 91 of Sioux Center, IA, formerly of Lansing, passed away on Friday, January 28 at the Royal Meadows Care Facility. Funeral services will be held at Peace Christian Reformed Church in South Holland on Friday, February 4 at 11:00 AM. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
Pauline was born to Theodore and Anna Zylstra on December 19, 1919 in Chicago, IL. She attended Roseland Christian School and Chicago Christian High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Huizenga, on October 6, 1944, shortly after Robert’s return from army service during WWII. Pauline and Robert were blessed with twin sons, Robert Jr. and Richard, daughter Linda and son, Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and sons Robert and Richard. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda (John) Visser of Sioux Center, IA, and her son and daughter-in-law, Paul (Maureen) Huizenga of St. John, IN, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
