Willard Sufian, age 87 of Sevierville, (and formerly of Belvedere, California), passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013.
Mr. Sufian was a Master Mason with Lodge 721 in California for over 50 years. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Navy from June 1943 – December 1949. He served on the USS Frank Knox and USS Wiltsie.
He is survived by his wife, Oma Sufian; nephew, William "Billy" Smith; great nephew, Robert Smith; great-nieces, Dawn Hans, B.J. Whaley and husband Dana; great-great-nephews, Tyler Whaley, Cole Whaley, Chad Smith; great-great-nieces, Nikki Smith Ward and Emily Smith; great-great-great-nieces, Julie Ward and Cirenidy Hale.
The family will receive friends 3-4 PM Wednesday with funeral service to follow at 4 PM in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Interment 11:30 AM Thursday in East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Highway. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 104.
