James Harold “Cobb” Ogle age 87 of Maryville passed away Monday, June 04, 2007 at the family home. He was a World War II Veteran having participated in the Normandy Invasion on D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge. James was retired from Alcoa Aluminum and was a member of their 25-Year Club. He was preceded in death by: Wife, Elizabeth (Lib) and infant daughter. Survivors include: Daughter and Son-in-law, Deloris & Luke Davis; Grandson, Scott Davis; Great-Grand-Daughter, Skylar Davis; Sisters, Gladys Self of Maryville, Marjorie Prince of MI, and Ruby Boshears of MI; Brothers, Fred Ogle of MI and Edward (Windy) Ogle of TN; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all the caregivers. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, June 6, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. John Russell officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM, Wednesday, June 6, 2007, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
