Gerald William “Jerry” Levers of Knoxville passed away Friday May 13, 2011. he was born April 17, 1927 in Malone, NY., formerly of Montclair, NJ., Kingston, TN. And Spring Hill, Fl. Veteran of the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps and was in the Pacific Theater in World War II, he was an employee of The Port Authority in NY and managed the construction of the World Trade Center, projects around the world for Alcoa and retired from Lockwood-Greene in 1994, he loved dog and children and he was our beloved “PAP”. Preceded in death by parents George William Levers and Clara Besaw Levers, brother Bob Levers and sister Verna Levers. Survivors: wife: Laura Johnson Levers of Knoxville, Children: Tom Levers of Clinton, NJ, Debra Grey Adams and husband Leslie Adams and Zane Grey and wife Sandra Grey of Crossville, sister: Hariett Levers Slack of Knoxville, TN., grandchildren and spouses: Tim and Alexis Levers of Clinton NJ, Katie Levers Moran and Mike Moran of Vermon, NJ, Annie Levers of Manhattan, NY, Sera and Scott Saulnier of Knoxville, TN, Jon Grey of Crossville and Bobbie Jo and Brandon Meredith of Murfreesboro, TN., great grandchildren: Evan Saulnier, Morgan Grey, Jason Meredith and Paige Meredith. Memorial service 8 pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
