Brown, age 93, of Newport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 9, 2010 at her home. She was a member of Retired Teachers Association in Newport. She was a school teacher for 31 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Eugene Edward Brown; brothers, William “Bill” Bryant and Oliver Nease Bryant Sr.; sister, Elizabeth Ottinger; and parents Farl and Jettie Bryant. She is survived by her son, Oliver Nease Bryant, Jr. ( Stacy); grandchildren Shan Bryant, Sheena Bryant, Kayla Bryant, and Rose Ida Bryant; great-granddaughter, Kristy Bryant; special friends, Glenda Mayfield, Angeline and Junior Arwood, Beatrice Brown, Tammy Trentham, Diane Hembree, Misty Dunn, Karen Cody, Shelby Gentry, Lisa Brown, Louise Bryant, Sandy Miller, Monty Bryant, Faye Lawson, Mary and Gene Bryant, Jack and Mary Bryant, Carolyn Kickliter and a host of many other special friends. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Bell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family will meet at Brown Funeral Home at 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 to go in procession for a 10:00 a.m. interment in the Bryant Family Cemetery in Newport.
