Lillie M. Dunn Davis, age 84 of Greenback, formerly of Townsend, departed this life on May 29, 2004, at the home of her daughter, Kathy Neely. She has gone to her heavenly home where there is no more suffering. She was a member of Morganton Baptist Church in Greenback. She was preceded in death by parents, Daniel Robert and Martha Dunn; husband, the Rev. Fred Davis; daughter, Beulah Ann Davis; three sisters and three brothers. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Alma Sue and Earl Hatcher of Townsend, Judy Burger, Kathy and the Rev. Lonnie Neely of Greenback, Pat and Dr. Horace Brown of Walland; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Joyce Davis, Lacy and Denese Davis of Townsend, Larry and Margaret Davis of Greenback, Leon and Barbara Davis of Robbinsville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Valeria and Clint Brown, Linda and Mike Kiser, Greg and Jennifer Hatcher, Kim Burger, Russell Davis, Dana and Brent Lund, William and Amy Davis, Ida Jean and David Summitt, Becky Davis, Jennifer and Chad Yarnell, Travis Neely, Leandra Brown, Nicholas Brown, Jacob Neely, Abby Davis and Daniel Davis; great-grandchildren, Michaela, Matthew, Josh, Becca, Hannah, Logan and Emma; sister, Mary Sue Frye of Maryville; brother, Robert Dunn of Knoxville; a host of nephews, nieces and dear friends. Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Bethel Baptist Church in Townsend, the Rev. Ron Bailey, the Rev. Dan Evans and the Rev. Bill Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Being a minister's wife for over 40 years, all ministers' wives are invited to be honorary pallbearers at the funeral service. Family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
