He was a member and head deacon at Caylors Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Frances Stinnett Dunn; son, James Wesley Dunn; parents; brothers and sisters; two great grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Betty Jo and Odell Kilby of Townsend; brother and sister in law, Robert and Adeline Dunn of Knoxville; sisters, Lilly Davis of Greenback, Mary Sue Fry of Walland; sister and brother in law, Rev. Max and Kathleen Kelley; grandchildren and spouses, Delbert and Judy Kilby, Jeff and Missy Kilby, Scott Kilby all of Townsend, Doris Dunn of Walland; seventeen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Bill Dixon and Rev. Brad Schaefknocker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to proceed to Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Townsend for a 1 p.m. graveside service.
