SEVIERVILLE, TENN. - Charles Edward Wright, 67, of Sevierville, Tenn., passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012 after a brief illness. Born in Haywood County, N.C. on February 22, 1945, he was a son of the late Vernon and Effie Clontz Wright. He retired as a Staff Sargent in the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Wright, Jr. and Gene Wright; as well as one sister, Francis Wright. Survivors include his wife, Janice Gregory Wright, and two sons, Jamie Wright and wife, Kelly, of Granite Falls, N.C. and Shane Wright of the home; two step-daughters, Angela Enderson and Carla Brotherton, both of Catawba County, N.C.; one sister, Shirley Wright Sorrells of Asheville, N.C.; two grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; four nephews, two nieces, and special friends Foard and Betty Parsons. The memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, N.C.
