DUNCAN , REESE BERKLEY - age 20, of Knoxville. The family of Reese Berkley Duncan grieves the loss of their beloved twenty year old son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Reese had a true lion's heart, always giving much and expecting little. Unassuming and unpretentious, he loved everyone right where they were. Reese will be missed by all, who in his gracious and quiet life, he touched. Reese is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jerry D. Duncan; and maternal grandfather, Curtis L. King. He is survived by his parents, Grant B . Duncan and Laura K. Duncan; grandmothers, Jane Duncanand Barbara L. King; sister, Katie E. Duncan; aunts and uncles, Steve and Mindy Anderson, and Keith and Katley Martin; great aunt, Imogene K. Layman; cousins, Matt, Eric, and Rachel Anderson, and Megan and Hannah Martin. A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014, at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, located at 9132 Kingston Pike in Knoxville, officiated by Reverend Scott Jackson. Interment will be private. Pallbearers will be Keith Martin, Eric Anderson, Matt Anderson, Camden Winzenburg, Russell August and John Whitener. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Children's Hospital in honor of Dr. Lori Patterson and the staff who saved Reece's arm and life in 2010, or to the Christian Academy of Knoxville, Tuition Assistance Fund. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. Online condolences may be extended at www.rosemortuary.com.
