Ida Cordell (Nee Gredig) Carnes, age 86 of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Maryville, TN died Thursday, October 28, 2004 in Cincinnati, OH. Preceded in death by: husband, Joe H. Carnes; daughter, Sylvia Lynn Carnes; son, Arthur H. Carnes. Survivors include: daughters, Linda Jo Carnes of Cincinnati, OH and Helen Ann Newton of California; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Lee of Maryville and Gladys Raines of Maryville. Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Smith Mortuary. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2004, at Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.smithmortuary.com. Following the services, Ida's family has rented the Carnes' Cabins, in Townsend, #448-1021. The Carnes' Cabins is located one mile from the Smoky Mountains entrance.
