Clarence “Henry” Arden, Sr., left this earthly home to be with God on March 28, 2007 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Henry was 78 years old. He served our nation as a Boatswain Mate in the United States Navy on the USS Missouri as WWII ended. Henry was an avid fisherman and loved bowling. He was a longtime member of Sharon Baptist Church until moving to south Knoxville after his marriage to Betty Jane Davis Crumley in 2004. Henry was preceded in death by his first wife, Ina E. Arden, father George W. Arden and step mother Myrtle Arden, mother Lou Emma Humphries and step father George Humphries, son Eddie Arden. He is survived by wife Jane Arden, brothers Bobby Arden, Sam Arden and David Humphries, sisters, Mary McLain and Marjorie Henegar, step brothers, Dallas, Fred and Bill Humphries, children, Patricia Lewis, Sandra Rhoads, Linda Arden, Donna Braden and Clarence Henry “Butch” Arden, Jr, step-sons, Mike, Andy and Bill Davis, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and special friends Al Queen and Little Will. He will be missed by all. Service, 7:00 p.m., Saturday, Mynatt Funeral Chapel, Fountain City. Family and friends will meet, 12:45 p.m., Sunday, Greenwood Cemetery for interment at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
