He was the son of the late William Thomas and Alice Bohannon King and was preceded in death by: his brothers, Elmer King, Don King, and Gordon Baines King, who died in Pearl Harbor; sisters, Helen Shephard, Hazel Register, Ruth Hubbs, and Blanche Shaffer. He was retired from U.T. Police Department, a World War II Veteran and a member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church, Knoxville. Survivors: wife, Malcena Crum King, Greeneville; brother, Marion King, Jefferson City, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; special nephew, Frank Register. The body is at Kiser Funeral Home where the family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006 in Kiser Funeral Chapel with Rev. Doug Jennings officiating. Interment, Harris Memorial Cemetery with military graveside service conducted by Greeneville-Greene County Color Guard.
