TVA reinterment records- age 40 at death in 1862. died of brain fever. This is an error because Christopher died in 1882.
The family reports that Christopher had been stabbed several times after catching a thief at his still and that he died of complications of these injuries. He reportedly had a federal license to produce grain alcohol for sale to the government and had caught James M. Fain, Jr. bootlegging his alcohol. An altercation ensued causing the stabbing. James M. Fain, Jr. was the son of James Marion Fain, son of Micajah Fain and Lavinia Ailey.He later changed his name to Bruce Mitchell Fain and his son George Victor Fain md Ora Dora Blazer , d/o Otha and Mary C. Blazer.
Malinda died age 47 in 1898 of colitis
Millie died 1872 ,age 4, of measles
