Hugh Taylor, age 74, born October 16, 1931, in Newport, Tennessee, to Sallie and Ben Taylor, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2006, in Houston, Texas, after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Donna Taylor; children, Michael Taylor and wife Becky, David Taylor and wife Marilyn, Cheryl Mechell and husband Gary; eight grandchildren; sisters, Maryvene Ramsey and Mildred Taylor, as well as numerous nieces and nephews all from Newport, Tennessee. Hugh served his country in the US Air Force and later retired from Galation Inc. after many years of employment. He was also a faithful member of Airline United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
