SHULAR, MARGOT DINGUS - age 88, of Knoxville, who was loved and respected by all who knew her, daughter of the late Shade and Mattie Sturgill Dingus of Coeburn, Virginia, died suddenly March 7, 2008 at Parkwest Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. She graduated from Fort Sanders School of Nursing in 1941 and worked as a private duty nurse until the opening of Hillcrest West, where she worked until retirement in 1985. She loved gardening and fishing. Margot was also preceded in death by husband, Claude Willard Shular; brothers, Ted, Frank and Joe Carson Dingus; sisters, Leafy Brewer, Beulah Franks Cope and Stella Stine. She is survived by her loving family: brothers, Jack Dingus of Bristol VA, Shade Dingus Jr., New Buffalo, Michigan and John Dingus of Coeburn, VA; sisters, Mary McConnell of La Porte, Indiana, Louise Honoker of Bristol, Va.; niece, Dorothy Francis Casteel of Pikeville, Tennessee. A funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Rev. John Tiller officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
