Margaret Jean Dyer “MOM & MAMAW”, age 78, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the St. Mary’s Residential Hospice center after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Mrs. Dyer was a long time member of Inskip Baptist Church and a faithful viewer of Wallace Memorial’s TV ministry. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Hillyard “Bud” Dyer, and her two sons, Steve Dyer and wife Pam of Dalton, GA, Alan Dyer and wife Doris of Clinton, preceded and reunited in death with her daughter Brenda Dyer Bull, her parents Albert and Grace Davis and her four brothers, Wilburn, Roy, Glenn and Gordon Davis. Margaret is sadly missed by her grandson Eric Dyer and wife Christine of Chattanooga, and by her four granddaughters, Kristy Myers and husband Rodney of Halls, Holly Davis and husband Shawn of Cleveland, TN, Kimberly Bradley of Knoxville and Haley Dyer of Clinton. Mrs. Dyer leaves behind eight great grandchildren, Sydney Dyer of Chattanooga, Ty and Spence Myers of Halls, Pete and Chip Davis of Cleveland, TN, Justin Tallent, Breanna and Brittany Bradley all of Knoxville, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was cared for during her illness by her family and some wonderful friends, sister in law and niece Betty and Kathy Womack, Joyce Turner, Barbara Hall, Peggy Loy, Clara Wilson, Jewell and Kim Hutcheson, Faye and Gary King, Betty Maples, Richard Miller, John and Carolyn Clark, Carol Burleigh, and Debbie Carig her hospice nurse.. Mrs. Dyer enjoyed flowers, birds and gardening. Her kitchen was always buzzing with family, friends and good food. She has indeed left her fingerprint on those she has touched and her memory will forever live on in their hearts. Service, 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Rev. Kent Williams and Rev. Mike Segers officiating. Family and friends will meet, 10:45 a.m., Wednesday, Greenwood Cemetery for interment at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers: Shawn Davis, Rodney Myers, Eric Dyer, Michael Floyd, Gary Davis, John Clark and Richard Miller. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
