Preceded in death by parents Luther and Cecil Sands; children, Charles A. Sands and Jackie Dewayne Sands; grandson, Billy Wayne Roberts; four brothers; three sisters. Survived by wife of 61 years Pauline; sons Carl James Sands, Jr. and wife Sherry, Gary Sands and wife Diane, Donnie Sands and wife Josie; daughter Carolyn Roberts and husband Bill; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers; special cat, Freckles. Service 8PM Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Harry Vonzell Whitsell and Rev. Donnie Coffman officiating. Family and friends will meet 1PM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home and proceed to Ailordale Cemetery for interment at 2PM. Pallbearers will be grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be Ricky and Johnny Sands.
