HARBIN, LOLA MAE TILSON - age 63, of Powell, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Tennova North Medical Center. She was an active member of Northwest Church of God. Mrs. Harbin was currently employed at the Knox County Health Department where she had served for more than twenty-three years as an executive assistant. Lola loved her family and grandchildren. She loved being a "secret pal" to children in need and always offered a smile to everyone she encountered in life. In her spare time, she was an avid thrift store shopper. Preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Mary Ruth Tilson; and a brother, Benny Tilson. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Harbin; children, Becky (Jay Johnson) Jones, and Danny Jones; stepchildren whom she loved as her own, Tim (Jodi) Harbin, Rhonda (Gale Engelke) Harbin, Perry (Dawn) Harbin; grandchildren, Brett Loy, Dalton Jones, Luke Harbin, and Isaac Harbin; great grandchild, Mylee Ann Loy - who was the light of her life; brothers, Willie Tilson, Eddie Tilson and Jimmy Tilson; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Glenda Irwin and Linda Caldwell along with everyone she met. A funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 in the chapel of Rose Mortuary officiated by Reverend Mike Harbin and Reverend Phillip Murphy. Family and friends will meet at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday to travel in procession to Highland Memorial Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday prior to the funeral service at the mortuary. Online condolences may be extended at www.rosemortuary.com.
