Ethel Cunningham Trundle, age 81 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Shannondale Health Care Center of Maryville. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church. She met her husband of 56 years, Max K. Trundle while working at ALCOA and they lived on the Trundle family farm in Wildwood all their married life. She was preceded in death by: husband, Max K. Trundle; parents, Thomas and Edna Cunningham; brother, Carlos Cunningham; sister, Mildred Loveday. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Kathy Trundle of Powell and Leon and Kerry Trundle of Maryville; grandchildren, Heather, Wendy, Andrew and Wesley Trundle; sisters, Troy Cunningham, Lona King and Ruby McCarter; brothers, Elmer and Wade Cunningham; several nieces and nephews. The family of Ethel Trundle wish to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of East Tennessee Medical Group, Thompson Oncology Group, Blount Memorial Hospice and Shannondale of Maryville Retirement and Health Care Centers for the loving care provided during her illness. We are also very appreciative of the love and support she received from her many new friends that live at Shannondale and from her church family. Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2005 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Daniel F. Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Broadway United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
