Elmer Ross Long, born Oct. 8, 1926 and passed away June 3, 2010 after a 5 ½ year battle with Leukemia. Member of Sharon Baptist Church and he was retired from the produce business. Preceded in death by parents, Millard F. and Elsie McKenzie Long. Sisters: Eldon, Imogene, and Patricia. Brothers: Haskell, D.L. and Thomas. Infant sons, Steven Ross Long and Harold Wayne Long. Father-in-law, Carlie V. Gray. Mother-in-law, Ada Hall Gray. Sister-in-law, Helen Rutledge. Brother-in-law, C.V. Gray. Survived by wife of 61 years, Loraine Gray Long. Sisters-in-law, Lillian Rutledge, Virginia Bright and Lillie Gray. Brothers-in-law, Jimmy Gray and wife Bettie, Robert Gray and wife Linda, Billy Gray and wife Velma, David Gray and wife Joan, and James D. Rutledge. Also a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Loraine wishes to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart to all those who helped Elmer and I. Funeral service 2:30 PM Sunday, Mynatt’s Fountain City Chapel. Rev. Mark McCoig and Rev. Dennis Blazier officiating. Private entombment at Lynnhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharon Baptist Church, Union Baptist Church (Maynardville Hwy.) or the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 PM Sunday at Mynatt’s Fountain City
