Russell L. Holt, age 80, of Old Knoxville Pike, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 26, 2006. He was known to many as a master upholsterer and owner of Maryville Upholstery Shop for 40 years. He proudly served his country during World War II throughout the European Campaign/Theater as a member of the Army Air Force. His family fondly remembers him as a loving father and husband. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by Father and Mother, Bruce and Gladys Holt; Brothers, Leon and Elmer; Sisters, Esther Hooper, Launa Pace, and Lois Holt. Survivors include: Wife of 60 years, Anna Bell Holt; Children, Rita Holt, Larry Holt & wife Janice, Gary Holt & wife Merri, and Donna Jemley & husband Joe; Grandchildren include: Brian and William Flynn, Rusty Holt, Garrett, Landon, and Jack Holt, Kaela and Hallie Jemley; Great-Grandchild, LeeAnn Flynn. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2006, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Dr. David Eubanks officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2006, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, (865) 983-1000, www.smithmortuary.com.
