Nora Frances and Bobby G. Harmon, of South Knoxville, were reunited once again in Heaven with Jesus within 48 hours of each other's passing. Frances passed away Saturday, October 22nd and Bob passed away on Monday, October 24th, 2016. They married on August 8, 1953 and were married for 63 years. Not even death could keep them apart. Frances and Bob were faithful members of Beulah United Methodist Church. Frances was a Sunday School Teacher, and Bob sang in the choir and was active on several committees. Both Frances and Bob enjoyed all sports. Frances was one of the first women to coach Boys Baseball at Bower Field, where she coached the Tigers for many years. Bob was also active in helping coach Girls Softball and Baseball. Frances and Bob were avid Tennessee Volunteers fans. Frances retired after more than 40 years from Johnsons Interiors and Bob retired from East Tennessee Natural Gas after many years of service.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, L.D. and Ray Greene; brothers, Bennie Greene, and Randle "Babe" Greene.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Myers; father, Virgil Harmon; and sister, Nancy Lee.
Frances and Bob are survived by their son, Scott Harmon; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Craig Wooliver; granddaughter, Chloe and husband, Tim Keener; great-grandchildren, Jocilyn, Corbin, Alexis, and Owen Keener.
Memorial donations may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church, 907 Kimberlin Heights Rd, Kimberlin Heights, TN 37920.
Celebration of Life Service 7 PM Thursday, October 27th at Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Rev. Matt Robinson, Rev. Richard Richter, Rev. Steve Evans, and Rev. Denny Ford officiating. Family and friends will meet 11 AM Friday in Beulah United Methodist Church Cemetery for the graveside service and interment. The family will receive friends from 4 PM to 6:30 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home Seymour, 122 Peacock Court, Seymour, TN 37865. (577-2807).
