Norman Lee Power, born January 28, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at his home in Del Rio. Norm received his final checkered flag of life on earth, at the very same time he also received the green flag for eternity. He was a member of O & S Chapel United Methodist Church in Greeneville. He is survived by his wonderful loving wife of 19 years, Mary Lynne Seay Power; stepson, Stephen (Lois) Higginbotham of Greeneville; his chosen sons Steve (Janet) Camp of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Bene (Dawn) Shelton of White Pine and their wonderful sons James, Willie and Billy and many racing friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday, November 14, 2014 with funeral services following at 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Deep Springs Cemetery, Dandridge, TN. Pallbearers will be, Bill Bader, Ohio, Dale Miller, Ohio, Bene Shelton, White Pine, Mike and Harrison Helton of Newport and Larry Suchomski of Knoxville. The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice.
