Sarah (Sally) Gammons, 83, passed away Thursday morning at the Baptist Convalescent Center following a lengthy illness. She was a member of the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. Sally was a homemaker and had operated a farm along with her husband, Lloyd, for many years. She is survived by her children, Carol Stokely and Roger Gammons, both of Newport; and grandchildren, Dale Stokely of Jefferson City and John Gammons of Newport. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Brown Funeral Chapel with Pastor Claude Villemaire officiating. Interment will be in the Resthaven Memorial Garden.
