He was born October 24, 1923 in Knoxville, TN and was of the Baptist faith. He was owner of Trentville Plants which he operated at his home for 40 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Shannon and Mary Jane (Justus) Russell; wife, Martha (Wilson) Russell, five brothers and six sisters. Survived by son, Stephen and wife Sandy Russell; grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley Russell, Kim and Steve Cunningham, Margo Hicks, Krista and Dylan Hicks; great grandchildren, Caden Trusty and Kaden Piercy; sister, Katherine Wells and several nieces and nephews; special friend, Mary McMillian. Funeral services 7:00 P.M. Monday Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev. Frank Cannon officiating. Family and friends will meet at Eastview Cemetery at 9:45 A.M.
