Tura Mae Binkley, 94, of Maryville, passed away November 3, 2000, at Maryville Healthcare.
She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church.
She served the Lord in the Baptist Ministry with her husband for many years in the Newport, Middle Tennessee, and Maryville area.
While living in Newport, her husband, the Rev. Clarence O. Binkley, served as ETBA Director of Missions from 1946-1950.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clarence O. Binkley; infant twin sons; son-in-law, Fred L. Graves; and great-grandson, Donald L. Graves.
She is survived by daughters, Eloise B. Wiley and son-in-law, Herbert Wiley of Newport, and Margaret Graves of Maryville; grandchildren, Rev. Larry E. Wiley, Greeneville, Tura Lawson, Newport, Fred L. Graves Jr., Charlene Kirkland, Maryville, Susan Pat Graves, Knoxville, and Joyce Lintz of Indiana; 16 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday, November 4, 2000, at the Smith Mortuary Chapel at 7:30 p.m. with Dr. Robert Brown and Rev. L.G. Hutchens officiating. Burial was at the Prospect Cemetery, Walland, on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Memorials may be made to ETBA Ministry Center, Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Newport, or Broadway Baptist Church of Maryville.
