Brown age 79 of White Pine passed away Friday January 27, 2006 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nita Verle Brown; parents, Oscar and Rena Brown; brothers, Melvin, Columbus and James Manning Brown. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita and Marty Costner, Jeannie and Bill Stuart all of White Pine; grandchildren, Scott and Stacy Costner, Michelle and Keith Wampler all of White Pine, Patsy and Tony Couch of Morristown, Amanda and Thomas Strange of White Pine; and nine great-grandchildren; special friend, Savannah Cameron and her children; sisters, Beatrice Ellison, Daisy Greene, Lucille Brown and Vernia Strange. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Dutch Bottom Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Seal and Rev. Ray Wiley officiating, burial in Dutch Bottom Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1:30 until 2 p.m. Monday at Dutch Bottom Church prior to the funeral. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Manes Funeral Home. Manes Funeral Home is in charge.
