Jarrod Damon Ivey, age 21, passed away January 4, 2006 in Lake Arrowhead California.
Damon was a talented and loving young man who was a gifted artist and musician. A
memorial celebration of Damon’s life was held in Lake Arrowhead where hundreds of his friends and family attended surrounded by his music and paintings.
He is survived by his father, Phillip Ivey of Seymour, mother, Marti Dawson-Cortez of
Lake Arrowhead, California, brother, Juston Adam Ivey of San Bernardino, California,
Sister and brother-in-law, Jana and Shannon Patterson of Sevierville, grandparents,
Charles and Lovana Ivey of Seymour, also survived by his aunts and uncles, Joe and Vanna Holbert of Maryville, Doug and Ann Marie Ivey of Seymour, cousins, Amy Brackins and
Amanda Holbert.
The Ivey family will receive friends at Atchley’s Funeral Home, Seymour 122 Peacock Court, Seymour, TN 37865 (577-2807) from 4:00-5:45 PM, with a slide presentation and celebration until 6:00 pm Saturday, January 28. 2006. There will be an open house at the Ivey residence from 6:15-8:30 PM for those wishing to visit Damon’s grandparents. Refreshments will be served.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Damon Foundation, 151 N. Main Street, Jonesboro, GA 30236, a non-profit organization providing scholarships for art programs at Rim of the World High School in Lake Arrowhead, California and to provide help for people battling depression.
The Ivey family wishes to thank all who have called and sent cards in our time of sorrow.
