Age 70, of Bristol, IL passed away on Monday, October 8, 2001. He was born on December 7, 1930 in Aurora, IL, the son of John and Rose (Ruzicka) Undesser.
Richard was united in marriage on February3, 1951 at St. Therese's Catholic Church in Aurora, IL to the former Henrietta "Sis" Augsburg and they had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Mr. Undesser was a member of St. Patricks's Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. He had served there for many years as an usher and was a founding member of its Men's Club. Richard farmed his entire life and was the owner and operator of the family business, Undesser's Turkey Farm in Bristol.
He was a long time member of the Kendall County Farm Bureau.
Richard was, for over 40 years, an avid bowler on Monday nights.
He had bowled on many teams throughout the Kane and Kendall areas.
He was also, for three months of each year for the last 20 years, a social director at a Florida Keys K.O.A. Camp ground.
He is survived by his wife, Sis Undesser of Bristol; his children, Richard A. (Ann) Undesser, Jr. of Bristol, Mary (Bruce) Momsen of Boulder City, Nevada, and John F. Undesser and his fiancee, Cindy Ingram of Bristol; his ten grandchilren, First Lieutenant, Michelle (Alec) Undesser-Ross of the U.S. Army, Richard A. (Pauli) Undesser III of Bristol, Mark A. Undesser of Carbondale, IL, Michael J. Undesser of Bristol, Lance Corporal Aaron Magnason, serving with the U.S. Marines, Amy Magnason of Boulder City, Nevada, Private First Class Adam Magnason, serving with the U.S. Marines, Tabitha Undesser of Orlando, FL, J.R. Undesser and Austin Undesser, both of Bristol and one more soon-to-be grandchild as well as his great-grandsons, William and Matthew Undesser-Ross and one more soon-to-be great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Undesser, his two brothers, Theodore Undesser and John Undesser, while still a young boy, and his sister, Dorothy Gaworski.
Funeral mass for Mr. Undesser will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 12, 2001 at the St. Patick's Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL with Father Jerome Zalonis, M.I.C. and Father Chris Brey officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Bristol, IL.
Friends may call from 2:00 until 9:00 P.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2001 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway, in Yorkville, IL.
