Daniel Thomas McGaha, born May 14, 1935, of parents Joel and Lela McGaha, passed unto his brand new home on February 27, 2006. Daniel took his last breath here on Earth and his next one in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He retired from Stokely Van Camp after forty-one years. He was a member of Stokely's Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes (Watts) McGaha, the mother of their children; brother, Dale McGaha; sisters, Thelma Warden and Edna Sue McGaha; and his parents. He is survived by his loving wife and loyal companion, Brenda McGaha, of the home; daughters, Mary Naillon and husband Billy Ray, Barbara Lancaster and husband William, Sheryl Clevenger and husband Skip; his son, David McGaha and wife Crystal; step-daughter, Lorran Dunn and husband Denny, all of Newport; grandchildren, Jason Naillon, Jessica Jackson, Carrie Naillon, Amy, Ashley, and Jordan Clevenger; step-grandchildren, Andy Ivy and Mary Roberts; great-grandchildren, Ella Rhee Naillon, Morgan and Logan Jackson. He is also survived by sisters, Georgia Powell, of Monroe, La.; Ann Phillips and Frances Shelley, of Newport; Glenna McGaha, of Morristown; brothers, Bert McGaha, of Newport; Richard McGaha, of Smithville, Tex.; also a host of nieces, nephews, and Teresa Long, RN, of Adventa Hospice was his very special praying nurse. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dale Hayes and Bro. Joe Bible officiating, with burial in Stokely Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at Manes Funeral Home. Friends and family may sign guest register on-line at www.manesfuneralhome.com.
