Ruth Jean Nichols Reagan, age 85, of Pigeon Forge, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014. She was a member of Hurst Chapel Baptist Church.
She was a dedicated, loving, and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a blessing to many and was a light to all who knew her.
She attended the University of Tennessee and is credited with teaching many in Sevier County how to read and write from her days as a one room schoolteacher. Ruth was known as a tireless and energetic worker in all of her pursuits.
Along with spending time with her beloved family, Ruth enjoyed working and being outdoors at her beautiful mountain home. Ruth was a very creative, artistic, and talented lady who was an avid gardener, world traveler and quilt maker.
Survivors include: her husband of 58 years, Claude Reagan Daughters Debbie Jones and husband Jimmy Sharon Brenner and husband Steve Patti Reagan-Price and husband Dave Granddaughters Robin Loveday and husband Travis Sara Reed and husband Aaron Leia Letterman and husband Danny
Great-grandchildren: Jake, Matt, and Reagan Loveday, Brady and Tucker Reed, Anna Mae Letterman
Brothers and sisters-in-law: Rex and Eula Nichols, Dwight and Ellen Nichols, Curtis and Charlotte Nichols
Sisters and brothers-in-law: Lou Ann and RC Davis, Betty and Ralph Ogle

A heartfelt thank you to Ruth Green who was not only a special caregiver but a devoted friend.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Ogle and Rev. Craig Mintz officiating.
