Gary Michael Bell, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011. He retired from ALCOA Aluminum Company after 32 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with many friends. He also loved going to the beach with his wife and going on spontaneous “road trips.” He will be sadly missed. He is preceded in death by parents, Woodrow and Beatrice Bell; brother, Larry Bell. He leaves behind wife, Jackie; daughters and sons-in-law, Beatrice (BeaJ) and Vince Woodby of Alcoa, Monique and Chad Phillips of Maryville; mother of his children, Lynn Woodby; grandchildren, Aaron and Paige Woodby, Scotty and Kaitlyn Phillips; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Sr. and Debbie Bell, of Chicago; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Matt Boyle of California; sister-in-law, Mary Bell of Atlanta; stepmother, Sue Bell of Maryville; nieces, nephews and spouses, Steve and Laura Bell of Maryville, Jennifer and Ryan Dragon of Atlanta, Jerry Jr. and Amy Bell, of Oklahoma, Michael and Scott Bell of Virginia, Rebecca and Ellen Swartz of California; aunt and uncle Barbara and Jack Nuchols, of Maryville; aunt, Clara Bell, of Maryville; also many friends. Graveside services will be held at Holston College Cemetery, Louisville, Tenn., at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011. Immediately following graveside, family and friends are invited to pay their respects at daughter’s home (BeaJ), 1065 Mildred Drive, Alcoa, TN 37701.
