Gentry Rex Ogle, age 88, a loving father and "papaw" passed on early morning on July 24th, 2015, at his home. He reunites with the love of his life who he missed terribly, Bernice Ogle, who we lost this past September. So happy to see him in heaven were his two sons, Johnny Rex Ogle and Larry Bruce Ogle and many other loved ones who had passed before him. Gentry was a founding member of the Sevier County Rescue Squad, a mason, and a deacon for many years at Second Baptist Church, and long-time employee of Union Carbide in Oak Ridge.
Deeply saddened to miss him are his children, Kathy Daniels Brackins, Karen Whitlock, Anita Kay Ogle. Adored grandchildren, Amy and Dustin Daniels (Margeaux Clements), Holly and Nicole Whitlock, Jon Mylan Ogle Clabo, Kim Ogle Hudson (Shawn) and Joanne Ogle Sheldon. Loved great-grandchildren are Marah Harrell, Blakely Clements, Sydnie and Kelsie Hudson, Allie and Ethan Sheldon, Katie Knutsen, Megan Ellis and their children. Brother, Jonathan Ogle, sisters-in-law, Ella Mae Lane, Betty Ogle, Elizabeth Ogle.
Special caretakers and others, David Herrell, Reginia and April.
The family will receive friends from 3-5PM Sunday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 5PM with Rev. Jeremy Grisham and Rev. Pete Lamon officiating.
