Hazel Marie Clevenger, age 72, of Newport went to be with her Lord October 28, 2005 in Knoxville following a brief illness. Mrs. Clevenger was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lloyd Clevenger; both parents, Dozier and Gussie (Hurst) Turner Sr.; three brothers, Herbert Lee, Billy and Dozier Jr. Turner.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law and one son, Kim and Tommy Price of Newport, Judy and Donnie Rea of Newport, Sue and Perry Crum also of Newport and Lloyd Clevenger of Newport; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Dale Holt of Newport; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bud and Hester Turner, and J. Harold and Debbie Turner all of Newport; eleven grandchildren, Morgan Price, Josh Crum, Shannon and Tony Romines, Bobby, Brenda, Corky, Clinton, Amanda Clevenger, Brandi, Houston, Kinsler Rea; ten great-grandchildren, and a special niece, Barbara Stinnett of Dandridge and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday October 30, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be conducted Monday October 31, 2005 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. John Henderson and Rev. Doug Messer officiating. Interment will follow at Open Door Cemetery.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide final arrangements for Mrs. Hazel Clevenger.
