Orlena Boley Bugg, 86, of Newport, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 31, 2005, at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Bugg; parents, Kirby and Birdie Boley; four brothers, and three sisters. Orlena is survived by her daughters: Phyllis I. Nichols, of Newport; Ruby M. Williamson and her husband, Johnny, of Newport; Mildred J. Justice, of Morristown; Frances J. Maloy and her husband, Dale, of Newport; and Sherry A. Barnett, of Newport; one son, John Bugg and his wife, Cathy, of Newport; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva Hayes; and a very special friend, Betty Phillips. Mrs. Bugg will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Bugg and Bro. Dale Maloy officiating. Interment will follow at Faubian Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, November 1, 2005, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
