CLIFTON, ROY - age 74 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Roy was a member of Ball Camp Baptist Church and a member of Teamsters Local 519 for 42 years. Roy was born in Rutledge, TN May 5, 1932. He was a devoted husband for 56 years to wife, Irene Clifton. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Preceded in death by parents, Marshall and Gertrude Watson Clifton; 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Carol Clifton, Phil and Cathy Clifton and Lynn and Andrea Clifton; grandchildren, Danny and Kasi Clifton, Kyle and Amy Clifton, Vicki and Rob Cheesman, Amber Clifton, Madison, Clifton and Ashton Clifton; great-grandchildren, Sydney and Caleb Clifton and Calleigh Cheesman. He also leaves a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday at Weaver's Chapel with the service to follow at 8 pm. Reverends Billy Edmonds, Bill Dean and Max Clifton officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Saturday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for an 11 am graveside service.
