Lifelong Shawnee/Tecumseh area resident Juanita Walsie (Wisdom) Hogan died Saturday, April 25, 2009 in Shawnee at the age of 99.
She was born Feb. 23, 1910, in Pottawatomie County to John Clinton and Parelee (Jordan) Wisdom. She attended Tecumseh High School.
On July 16, 1931, she married Roy V. Hogan in Guthrie, Okla. Mr. Hogan preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 2000.
Mrs. Hogan was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tecumseh, where she loved to serve her Lord. She loved playing with her numerous grandchildren. She loved to cook, sew and make toys.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one sister; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Margie Trice and Zelma Mae and Leonard Rollins and John Coats.
Survivors include daughter and sons-in-law, Doris and Frank Scroggins of Shawnee and Roauel Trice of Tecumseh; grandchildren, Cheryl and Wayne Morrison of Houston, Texas, Sara Jo and Robert Molina of Houston, Texas, Annie and Wayne Nix of Houston, Texas; Linda and Henry Jones of Shawnee, Brad Trice of Tecumseh, Sally and Jimmie Brownell of Shawnee and Molly and Jim Fincher of Shawnee; 12 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
