HAYTER, R. JACK - age 92 of Morristown, son of Walter Reed Hayter and Annie Brown Hayter, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, Deacon and Elder of First Presbyterian Church, member of VFW Post #5266, charter member of the Lions Club, founder of Hayter Stockyards Printing and Die Cutting and a charter member of Morristown Country Club. He is preceded in death by: wife of 50 years, Helen Griffen Hayter; very special friend, Tess Charles; son, Robert Reed Hayter; brothers, Walter and Bill Hayter. He is survived by: children, Linda Jane Hayter Turner (Larry) of Huntsville, AL, and R. Jack Hayter, Jr. (Sandy) of Kingwood, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer Blunt (James) of Kingwood, TX, Matt (Rosann) Turner of Tuscaloosa, AL, Mark (Julie) Turner of Beijing, China, and Jackson Turner of Washington, D.C.; great-grandchildren, Ashlee, Austin, Grayson, Drew, Hannah, Eric, and Nick. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Gary Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. prior to the service. Military graveside services will follow in Bethesda Cemetery with VFW Post #5266 officiating. Pallbearers will be: Ed Edmonds, Monty Sams, Don Sams, Gary Hardin, Joe Whiteside and Scott Reams.
