TURNER, WILBURN EUGENE - age 94, passed away on Saturday September 4, 2010. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was of the Baptist faith and served in the National Guard. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Local #50. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Turner, son, Wilburn Turner, Jr., parents, Andy and Myrtle Turner, great-grandchild, Valarie Leann Hurley, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his two children and spouses, Billy and Teresa Turner of Knoxville, and Wanda and Jesse Lawhorn of Knoxville; one brother, Tommy Turner of Knoxville; 11 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Gentry-Griffey Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday prior to the service.
