Leroy Dunlap, age 77, of Maryville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Tennova Select in Powell. He had worked at Coles Manufacturing in Knoxville and Alcoa. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph Roy and Anna Mae Dunlap; father and mother-in-law, Martin and Marie Lewelling; sister, Edna Payne; one niece and nephew; and three brothers-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gearldean Dunlap of Maryville; sister, Dora Mae Richardson of Walland; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Don King of Maryville; sister, Jo-Ann Brooks of Walland; brother-in-law, Jerry Payne of Alcoa; special sister-in-law, Martha Jean Sharp and husband, Leon; brother-in-law, John and wife, Gail Lewelling of Maryville; several nieces and nephews; and his pride and joy, his dog, Angel. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, , December 1, 2015 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Brad Bryant officiating. Entombment service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Sherwood Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
