Mrs. Iva Fern Butler, age 66, of Newport passed away Wednesday evening August 17, 2005 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville. She was of Baptist faith.
Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Zella Acton; brothers, Carroll Gray Acton and Charles Acton.
Iva is survived by her children, Steve Allen, Debbie Allen, and Donna Allen all of Newport; grandchildren, Jenniffer, Daniel, Adrienne, Chasidy, Steven, and Brandon all of Newport; great grandchildren, Lexi, Dylan, Brianna and her special little angel Kayla Allen, all of Newport; sister, Jewel Ellison of Newport; additional survivors include a very special friend Bobby Dunn of Newport, several nieces and nephews, and a host of family members.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening August 19, 2005 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home prior to cremation.
