MANER, JAMES L., SR. - age 76, of Seymour, passed away Monday, May 10, 1999. Deacon and member of Seymour First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge #334 and Knoxville Scottish Rite. Retired from Rohm & Haas. Preceded in death by father, Joseph Maner; brother, Samuel Maner and son, Richard Lynn Maner. Survivors: wife, Helen Beeler Maner; mother, Blanche Maner, age 98, of Seymour; sons and daughters-in-law, James, Jr. and Suzie Maner, Donnie Maner, Kenny & Rhonda Maner, Chris and Sandy Maner, all of Knoxville; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Beets of Clinton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Berry Chapel, Rev. Bruce Yates and Rev. Ronald Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of Liberty Sunday school class of Seymour First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Building Fund of Seymour First Baptist Church. Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, in charge.
